The present invention relates to a pretension reinforcement apparatus for a waist-high wall using steel wires and a reinforcement method for a waist-high wall using the pretension reinforcement apparatus capable of reinforcing resisting force and ductility of a waist-high wall using pretension by using steel wires fixed to a beam and a column. According to the present invention, the pretension reinforcement apparatus for a waist-high wall using steel wires for reinforcing a waist-high wall installed between a column and a beam comprises: angle members fixed and installed to the column, the beam, and a supporting part formed on a lower part of a window frame, respectively; and a pretension steel wire unit which has a reinforcing steel wire having both ends coupled to the two angle members installed to the beam and column or the support part and the column and installed to be applied with predetermined tensile force. The pretension steel wire unit is installed to extend in a direction inclined at a predetermined angle against the beam, the support part, and the column. |
