The present invention relates to tight buffered optical fiber and a distribution/breakout cable using the same. The tight buffered optical fiber comprises an optical fiber core, a primary coating layer for reducing stress by surrounding the optical fiber core, a buffer layer in which a tensile strength body is inserted around the primary coating layer, and a secondary coating layer surrounding the buffer layer. Therefore, the light distribution/breakout cable can be provided because there is no need to use an additional protector by using the tight buffered optical fiber with excellent performance against harsh environmental condition applied from the outside and enhanced performance while maintaining the same or lower level of a size and weight than existing fiber. |
