PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating element that allows easily controlling a period in which ion generation performance is maintained and improving uniformity of distribution of ions in an air channel, and to provide an ion generating device.SOLUTION: A first needle electrode 2 is supported by a frame body 1 and has a first tip portion 2a located in a through hole 1a. A second needle electrode 3 is supported by the frame body 1 and has a second tip portion 3a located on an extended line A-A in an extending direction of the first needle electrode 2 and facing the first tip portion 2a with a distance in the through hole 1a. The first and second needle electrodes 2 and 3 are configured to generate ions by generating discharge between the first and second needle electrodes 2 and 3, and the first and second needle electrodes 2 and 3 are arranged along the center line A-A of the through hole 1a. |
