PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a battery including an electrode plate having an electrode layer of uniform thickness formed by applying an electrode paste uniformly in the width direction continuously, even if the supply of a plurality of electrode pastes is switched, and to provide a paste coating device.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a battery 10 includes a coating step for applying an electrode paste AP by using a paste coating device 100, and a drying step for drying it. The paste coating device 100 includes a plurality of storage tanks 111, 112, coating sections 121, 122, a buffer tank 131 interposed therebetween and having a paste stirring mechanism 136, and a switching tool 141. The coating step is a step for applying the electrode paste AP continuously, even if supply of the electrode paste AP is switched by the switching tool 141. |
