PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which exhibits good battery performance and high overcharge preventing properties in a condition where it has a positive electrode having an electrode potential of 4.25 V or higher, and to provide a nonaqueous electrolytic solution used for the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery has a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolytic solution. The positive electrode contains as its active material a material which exhibits a positive electrode potential of 4.25 V or higher (relative to Li/Li). The nonaqueous electrolytic solution contains an electrolyte and a pyrazole derivative represented by formula (I) in an organic solvent. (In the formula, Rto Reach represent a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent, and Arepresents an aryl group.) |
