<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for stably producing a photocatalyst-carrying PTFE fiber that exhibits no fiber deterioration and no damage to a photocatalytic active effect even if used for a long period of time, by letting PTFE carry photocatalyst particles.SOLUTION: In the method for producing photocatalyst-carrying polytetrafluoroethylene fiber according to the present invention, the polytetrafluoroethylene fiber is produced by discharging a liquid mixture comprising polytetrafluoroethylene, a matrix and photocatalyst particles into a coagulation bath to make it into a fiber, calcinating it, and drawing it, and the method is characterized in that the obtained polytetrafluoroethylene fiber is subjected to oxidation treatment for the condition set to 70 hours or more and 150 hours or less under heated air atmosphere of 230°C or more and 310°C or less in a relaxed state.</p> |
