The present invention is a printing device provided with: a stage (32) for supporting printing media (22, 24); a drop ejection head (30) for ejecting drops; and a heater (58) for heating the printing media (22, 24), wherein heat conducting blocks (52) for conducting heat from the heater (58) to the printing medium (22) are disposed at locations at which the stage (32) contacts the printing medium (22), whereas the heat conducting blocks (52) are not disposed at locations of no contact with the printing medium (22). The drop ejection head (30) is covered by a nozzle cover (46), in a state such that ejection of drops from ejection nozzles (38) is possible. Drying out of the drop ejection head can be minimized by the features in question.
