PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water softening apparatus in need of periodical regeneration, preventing the halt in softened water supply due to no power supply in a regeneration time zone.SOLUTION: The water softening apparatus which conducts raw water into a resin tower 1 filled with ion exchange resin to remove water hardness components contained in raw water includes a raw water conducting pipeline 2 for conducting raw water into the resin tower, a softened water intake pipeline 3 for intake of softened water from the resin tower, a saltwater tank pipeline 5 for supplying saltwater into the resin tower, and a discharge pipeline 6 for discharging washing waste water which is generated during regeneration from the inside of the resin tower. The connection to each of the pipelines is performed by the opening and closing of a flow control valve 4. The opening and closing of the flow control valve is automatically performed by a control device 7. The water softening apparatus includes an electrical storage device 9 which stores electric power when electric power is being supplied to the water softening apparatus, so that the water softening apparatus is actuated by the electric power stored in the electrical storage device 9 when the power supply to the water softening apparatus is halted. |
