PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commutator that has a high engagement force between segments and an insulator and requires a small manufacturing man-hour requirement.SOLUTION: The commutator includes the cylindrical insulator, and a plurality of segments 12 circumferentially juxtaposed on an outer circumferential surface of the insulator. Each segment 12 includes a riser 14 bent radially outward of the insulator from both axial end portions of the insulator and electrically connected with an armature winding, and first and second inner claws 15, 16 bent radially inward of the insulator from both axial end portions of the insulator and engaging the insulator. Each segment 12 includes first to third undercut grooves 32-34 in a surface facing the insulator. |
