PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber base material for a joint and a fiber-reinforced composite material for a joint which are capable of providing mechanical characteristics without increasing the number of fiber bundle layers.SOLUTION: The fiber base material 30 for a joint and the fiber-reinforced composite material for a joint have a joint part 21 which has a curved outer peripheral shape projecting outward in a plain view along a lamination direction of a laminate 11 and is for being connected to a rod at a part of the laminate 11. An outer peripheral surface 20a forming the outer peripheral shape of the joint part 21 is covered with a reinforcing material 37 extending along a direction in which boundary lines R between first to fourth reinforcing fiber bundles 11a to 11d extend.
