PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting non-magnetic substance metal particles contained in a secondary cell material.SOLUTION: A method of detecting non-magnetic substance metal particles can selectively extract non-magnetic substance metal particles contained in a secondary cell material by the several to several tens of μm to evaluate their content up to the level of several tens of ppb. Specifically, the detection method includes the step of generating bubbles in a suspension liquid in which a secondary battery material containing non-magnetic substance metal particles is dispersed to separate a suspended matter formed at the upper part of the suspension liquid, and the step of making the suspended matter selectively resolve the non-magnetic substance metal particles.
