A network is configured by daisy chaining, to an ID control device (200-M) in a first position, a plurality of devices (200-S) to be controlled which are provided from a second position onwards. The ID control device (200-M) initiates cumulative transmission and reception to and from the plurality of devices (200-S) to be controlled, and subsequently transmits a distance determination command to the plurality of devices (200-S) to be controlled. The ID control device (200-M) determines, on the basis of response signals transmitted, from the plurality of devices (200-S) to be controlled, as responses to the distance determination command, display device IDs for the ID control device (200-M) and each of the plurality of devices (200-S) to be controlled. |
