<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image density control method capable of improving accuracy of image density control in switching process linear speed while reducing waiting time.SOLUTION: An image density control method includes the steps of: storing differences in output (correction amounts) of toner density detection means between two or more different process linear speeds, on the basis of information on toner density at the time of switching of process linear speed and the absolute humidity having correlation with the toner density, in a corresponding area of a linear speed shift amount storage table that is divided in terms of a relation between the toner density and the absolute humidity; and selecting, when the linear speed is switched, a corresponding correction amount from the linear speed shift amount storage table on the basis of the information on the toner density at the time of the switching of process linear speed and the absolute humidity, and correcting a linear speed shift amount.</p> |
