<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel indicator for plasma sterilization using publicly known azo dye used as heretofore for creating indicators for ethylene oxide gas sterilization or heat sterilization, having an enhanced speed of discoloration in low-temperature plasma sterilization using oxidizing gas such as hydrogen peroxide and producing clear discoloration.SOLUTION: A publicly-known azo dye used as heretofore for an indicator for ethylene oxide gas sterilization and an indicator for heat sterilization, and a compound having a mercapto group or a dithiocarbamyl group used as a compound which reacts with the azo dye when plasma sterilization starts and discolors it are used. A multivalent phenolic compound or an aromatic carboxylic acid is used in combination with the above compound as a discoloration-preventing agent of the azo dye discolored during the plasma sterilization process so as to achieve stable discoloration.</p> |
