According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes an acquisition module, a first generator, a second generator, and an encrypting processor. The acquisition module acquires a first data file which is encrypted and a first character string corresponding to the first data file. The first generator generates first handwriting information includes a plurality of stroke data corresponding to a plurality of strokes. The first handwriting information is obtainable by inputting the first character string by handwriting. The second generator generates a first key using the first handwriting information.
