PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure visibility of a photographed image even when illuminance during travel at night and the like is insufficient, and to enable a pedestrian and the like to be displayed.SOLUTION: There is provided an image processing device acquiring a photographed image from an imaging apparatus photographing a front area of a vehicle during travelling and acquiring position information on the own vehicle from a GPS system. The image processing device comprises: image accumulation means that accumulates the photographed image to be output from the imaging means in an accumulation device; base image generation means that generates a base image serving as a base for superimposition from the image accumulated in the accumulation device; superimposition target detection means that detects a target to be watchful during vehicle travelling from the photographed image as a superimposition target area; and image superimposition means that superimposes the superimposition target area detected by the superimposition target detection means on the bas image. Consequently, travelling of a driver can be effectively supported even during the travelling at night.
