<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision prediction device which can more precisely predict collision between an own vehicle and other vehicles regardless of attitudes of the own vehicle and other vehicles and can perform appropriate collision avoidance control or damage reduction control.SOLUTION: A collision prediction device identifies, for estimated travel paths of an own vehicle and other vehicles, left and right front end parts PL, PRof the own vehicle and left and right rear end parts PL, PRof the other vehicles, calculates distances D, D, D, Dbetween these parts, and regards the shortest of the distances between these parts as a collision prediction distance DTC, thereby predicting collision with the other vehicles.</p> |
