PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrostatic capacitance type input device in which a decorative layer having an excellent degree of brightness and whiteness even if it is a thin layer can be obtained with high yield, short-circuit concern for metal wiring can be resolved, and the electrostatic capacitance type input device reduced in thickness/weight is made possible to be manufactured with high quality through simple steps.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an electrostatic capacitance type input device includes a front plate and at least elements of (1) a decorative layer which includes an inorganic white pigment and a binder and has a film thickness of 1μm or more and less 30μm, (2) a reflection layer composed of an inorganic laminate or metal and (3) a mask layer. The decorative layer, the reaction layer and the mask layer are laminated in this order on a non-contact side of the front plate.
