A display device with a touch panel, wherein the touch panel (20) and the display device (10) are joined via an adhesive layer (30). A polarizing plate (2) in the display device (10) comprises a polarizer (3) and a protective film (film base material (4a)) for protecting the surface of the polarizer (3). The touch panel (20) comprises: a shatterproof film (25) for preventing the shattering of a glass substrate (21); and an electromagnetic wave shield layer (26) for shielding electrical noise from the display device (10). The protective film is a cellulose ester film having a thickness of 20-30 µm. The shatterproof film (25) is a cellulose ester film having a thickness of 20-66 µm.
