-11 Abstract A downright protector 10 comprises a rectangular elongate sheet 12 of 5 substantially inflammable material adapted to be bent into the shape of a cylinder prior to installation. The downlight protector 10 also comprises an attaching means in the form of tabs 14 for attaching the cylinder to a ceiling 26. In use, when the downlight protector 10 is installed in the ceiling 26 surrounding a downlight 24 it prevents the downlight 24 from coming into 10 contact with potentially flammable material in the ceiling.
