PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an electrode for a battery which hardly causes degradation in discharge capacity over time and can improve cycle characteristics; and a battery using the same.SOLUTION: The electrode for a battery contains a compound represented by the general formula (1) defined by M([B(CN)Y]), or the general formula (2). (In the formulas (1) and (2), Mrepresents H, or a monovalent, divalent or trivalent, organic or inorganic cation; Y represents halogen, a hydrocarbon group with or without halogen whose main chain has 1-10 carbon atoms, -C(O)R, -S(O)R, -Z(R), -SR, or -OR; and Y' represents H, halogen, a hydrocarbon group with or without halogen whose main chain has 1-10 carbon atoms, a cyano group, -C(O)R, -S(O)R, -Z(R), or -XR.) |
