<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the life of non-volatile storage means in an image forming apparatus with a simple configuration and simple processing without increasing capacity of the non-volatile storage means.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an EEPROM 2 including a plurality of addresses capable of re-writing and holding data changing during operation, and re-writing the data a number of times until the expiration of the EEPROM 2. The image forming apparatus includes control means (1, 3, and 4) for performing, at a prescribed time point in the operation of the EEPROM 2, on the basis of a count number of the number of re-writing of the addresses at the time point, control to replacing a content held in an address with the large count number with a content held in an address with the small count number.</p> |
