<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve mechanism having several intake valves per cylinder in which a lift amount, working angle, and timing are continuously variable and right/left lift difference and one valve rest can be attained.SOLUTION: There is provided a variable valve device comprising a cam lobe 12 having several intake valves 31 per cylinder, formed to cause a working angle and timing to be continuously changed, integrally rotated with a cam shaft 11 and axially and relatively movable in respect to the cam shaft, and a roller swing arm 21 pressed by a cam surface to cause the valves to be moved forward or rearward and a lift amount, working angle, and timing of the valves are controlled in a stepless and continuous variable manner in response to a running situation. Two intake cam shafts are arranged, a cam lobe and a roller swing arm are arranged for every intake valve to eliminate the above-mentioned problems, they are arranged at both sides divided in respect to an axis of a valve stem of the intake valve as viewed from an axial direction of the cam shafts, and an exhaust cam 12Ex is arranged at one cam shaft in parallel with the intake cam lobe to enable a compact cylinder head like DOHC to be attained.</p> |
