A pressure-responsive valve comprises a closure member 18 for engagement with a fixed valve seat 16, a lost-motion connection between the closure member and an actuating member 30 on which resilient means 42 and pressure responsive means act in valve closing and opening directions respectively, and stop means for limiting displacement of the actuating member. When pressure at an inlet port 12 reaches a value determined by the setting of a screwed cap 46 for adjusting the resilient means 42 it acts through a passage 55 to lift the member 30 and take up the lost-motion between flanges 24 and 33. If the pressure at a port 14 should be higher than that at the port 12 the closure member is lifted against a light spring 62.</p> |
