<p>A solar simulator is provided with: a high-pressure xenon short arc lamp which can be repeatedly turned on and off; a lamp power supply circuit which supplies a lamp current to the high-pressure xenon short arc lamp; a starter circuit which applies start trigger voltage to the high-pressure xenon short arc lamp; a measurement circuit which measures the photoelectric conversion characteristic of an object to be measured that is irradiated with artificial solar light from the high-pressure xenon short arc lamp; and a measurement control device which is electrically connected to the lamp power supply circuit, the starter circuit, and the measurement circuit. The measurement control device is configured to instruct the starter circuit to apply the trigger voltage to instantaneously turn on the high-pressure xenon short arc lamp at or just before the start of the measurement of the photoelectric conversion characteristic of the object to be measured by the measurement circuit, and instruct the lamp power supply circuit to stop the supply of the lamp current to turn off the high-pressure xenon short arc lamp at or just after the end of the measurement of the photoelectric conversion characteristic.</p> |
