PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation member which intervenes mainly between an earthquake occurrence surface side and a base isolation object member side to exert base isolation effect against both short period earthquake motion and long period earthquake motion.SOLUTION: The base isolation member comprises: a rubber shaft body 1 with plasticity and elasticity, which is disposed upright on an earthquake occurrence surface side A; and a coil spring 2 disposed vertically on a base isolation object member side B, which is swingably engaged with the rubber shaft body 1. The rubber shaft body 1 with plasticity and elasticity is disposed upright on the earthquake occurrence surface side A, and the coil spring 2 disposed vertically on the base isolation object member side B is swingably engaged with the rubber shaft body. |
