PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system adapted to perform ablation for a living target tissue of a subject by disposing an ablation electrode in contact with the target tissue with a specified contact force to thereby apply energy at a given power level at specified time intervals while estimating the size of an injured part.SOLUTION: Estimation is accompanied with modeling the size of an injured part as a nonlinear function of contact force, the power level and the time interval. This estimation can be repeated by changing the contact force, the power level or the time interval until a saturation point where the size of the injured part is not increased more than that is found. After one of the repetitions establishes the size of a desired injured part, the ablation for the target tissue can be performed using the contact force, the power level and the time interval of a given repetition. |
