PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber holding device capable of reducing a transmission loss, and preventing a ferrule and a graded index collimator installed to an optical fiber from being damaged.SOLUTION: An optical fiber holding device 68 incorporated in a light source device includes: a first GI collimator 71; a first ferrule 72 to which a first optical fiber 54 is fixed; a holding cylinder 73; a screw member 74; a coil spring 75; and a press member 76. The tip side of the holding cylinder 73 is fixed to the first GI collimator 71. The first ferrule 72 is stored in the rear of the first GI collimator 71. The screw member 74 is screwed into a base end part of the holding cylinder 73. The coil spring 75 and the press member 76 are stored inside the screw member 74. The press member 76 presses the first ferrule 72 against the first GI collimator 71 by energization of the coil spring 75. The press member 76 is locked to the holding cylinder 73, so that rotation around an axis is restricted.
