A brake ECU (6) provides target braking force to a wheel of a vehicle by controlling a fluid-pressure braking force generation device (BF) and a regeneration braking force generation device (BM). The brake ECU (6), when driving output pistons (14, 15) forward so as to supply brake fluid from a master cylinder (1) to wheel cylinders (541 to 544), implements control such that the advancing speed of the output pistons (14, 15) reaches a predetermined speed set so as to suppress the withdrawal of a brake operation member (10). Thus, the withdrawal of the brake operation member (10) is suppressed, whereby improved feel of operation of the brake operation member (10) can be achieved. |
