The present invention provides a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) file transmitting method, which relates to the field of communications and can improve the compressibility during the VDI file transmitting process. The method includes: receiving a VDI message which at least includes a VDI file transmitting message; separating the VDI file transmitting message from the VDI message; parsing the separated VDI file transmitting message; obtaining data part of the VDI file transmitting message; compressing the data part and sending the VDI file transmitting message with the compressed data. The present invention also provides a corresponding device.
