PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove a catalyst poisoning component from a reactor used for the production of a prepolymerized catalyst component.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for washing a reactor used for the production of a prepolymerized catalyst component containing an olefin polymerization catalyst and an olefin polymer, wherein a reactor whose inner surface is exposed to outer air is sealed and then a slurry containing particles containing the olefin polymerization catalyst and a polymer of olefin, a solvent and an organic aluminum compound is brought into contact with the inner surface of the reactor and followed by discharging the slurry from the reactor.
