In a method for condensing a feed gas rich in carbon dioxide in order to produce a liquefied gas as the end product, the gas is compressed and at least partially condensed in order to form a liquid at a first pressure or a fluid at the first pressure, the first pressure being at least equal to 50 bar, the liquid or fluid is decompressed to a second pressure lower than the first pressure in order to form a decompressed flow, at least a portion of the decompressed flow or a flow derived from the decompressed flow is cooled in a heat exchanger (E1), at least a portion of the decompressed flow or flow derived from the decompressed flow is removed from the heat exchanger (E1) as a cooled flow, at least a portion of the cooled flow is sent to vaporise in the heat exchanger (E1) and the at least one cycle gas thus formed is therefore mixed with the gas rich in carbon dioxide before or after it is compressed. |
