<p>Provided is a design assistance system which extracts functions and attributes of configuration items on the basis of a 3D-CAD model and a component chart, and draws a conceptual diagram for reducing manufacturing costs on the basis of the functions/attributes. From a function system diagram created on the basis of design information acquired from a 3D-CAD model and a component chart, functions and attributes which make the same effective are extracted, and attribute values of the same are extracted from the design information. On the basis of improvement guidelines which reduce manufacturing costs, which have been generated on the basis of the function/attribute information, the present invention assists creation of improvement guidelines which reduce manufacturing costs by drawing a conceptual diagram combining basic structures defined for each function and functional structures embodying functions generated from the attribute values.</p> |
