Provided is a method for controlling melting of arctic ice that is low cost and has minimal impact on the global environment. This method for controlling melting of arctic ice controls the melting of arctic ice (IB) by inhibiting seawater from the Pacific Ocean (P) passing through the Bering Strait (B) from flowing into the Arctic Ocean (N). Fences (12, 13) are provided to block sea water to a prescribed depth from the surface of the Bering Strait (B) so that of the seawater flowing from the Pacific Ocean (P) to the Arctic Ocean (N), the sea water in the vicinity of the sea surface is inhibited from flowing into the Arctic Ocean (N) by way of the fences (12, 13).
|
