PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image pickup device which improves the collection efficiency to an organic photoelectric conversion layer while maintaining the reliability.SOLUTION: A solid state image pickup device includes: multiple picture elements, each of which includes an organic photoelectric conversion layer; a sealing layer which is provided so as to cover the multiple picture elements; and first lenses which are provided for the respective picture elements at the organic photoelectric conversion layer side of the sealing layer and are integrally formed with the sealing layer.
