METHOD FOR DYEING COTTON FIBER WITH PIGMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dyeing a cotton fiber with a pigment so that a pigment fine particle is hardly dropped out therefrom by water washing.SOLUTION: The method for dyeing the cotton fiber with the pigment comprises the steps of: preparing a dispersion liquid in which a titanium oxide fine particle or a Prussian blue fine particle is dispersed; immersing bleached raw cotton or unbleached raw cotton in the prepared dispersion liquid; and irradiating the raw cotton-immersed dispersion liquid with an ultrasonic wave having 20-40 kHz frequency for 10-40 minutes. As a result, the titanium oxide fine particle or the Prussian blue fine particle becomes primary particles to be dispersed finely. Since the pigment fine particle is vibrated and one single piece of the cotton fiber is also vibrated, the pigment primary particle collides strongly with the cotton fiber. Therefore, the titanium oxide fine particle or the Prussian blue fine particle gets deeply into a concave part of the surface of the cotton fiber to obtain the cotton fiber from which the pigment fine particle is hardly dropped out.
