<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint capable of preventing effectively an angular displacement of an inner joint member at the time of its assembling in a vehicle and enabling a seal to be assembled to it without performing work such as fastening operation.SOLUTION: A seal 20 comprises a metallic adapter 21 outwardly fitted to an opening part of an outer joint member 3 and a rubber boot or silicone boot 22 cooperatively arranged at the metallic adapter 21. The rubber boot or silicone boot 22 comprises a cylindrical part 23 constituting a shaft fitting part and a bent part 24 connecting an end part 23b of the cylindrical part 23 at the inverse inner joint member side with an end part 19b of the metallic adapter 21 at the inverse outer joint member side. The cylindrical part 23 has rigidity for restricting an angular displacement of an inner joint member 6 against the outer joint member 3 under a state in which the end part 23a at the inner joint member side is internally fitted to the inner joint member 6. The bent part 24 and the metallic adapter 21 are integrally assembled through vulcanization adhering work.</p> |
