The system is provided with: multi-stage impurity separation units (6a, 6b, 6c) having multi-stage compressors (4a, 4b, 4c) for stage-wise compression, to a target pressure, of exhaust gases (2) containing predominantly carbon dioxide from an oxygen combustion unit (1) which are supplied to a carbon dioxide liquefaction unit (3) for liquefaction, and after-coolers (5a, 5b, 5c) for cooling the exhaust gases (2) compressed by the compressors, and extracting a drain of moisture that has condensed due to cooling; an alkali agent supply unit (12) for supplying an alkali agent (10) to the upstream side of the after-cooler (5c) of the end-stage impurity separation unit (6c), and for extracting, from the after-cooler (5c) of the end-stage impurity separation unit (6c), a drain that includes the alkali agent having removed impurities from the exhaust gases; and a circulation line (30) for supplying the drain extracted from the after-cooler (5c) of the end-stage impurity separation unit (6c), to the upstream side of the after-cooler (5a) of initial-stage impurity separation unit (6a). |
