PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire grid polarization plate which is excellent in polarization property and flatness and can be used as a mirror (or can be used as a beam splitter).SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a wire grid polarization plate comprises the steps for: applying polymer solution on a substrate having a rugged structure on a surface by using a spin coat method; curing the polymer solution applied on a surface of the substrate to create a resin film; and peeling the resin film from the substrate.
