[Problem] To provide an antiviral/antibacterial agent comprising an aqueous solution and having excellent stability and odor-eliminating effects over time, the aqueous solution containing a dissolved silicon-containing compound having an antibacterial functional group. [Solution] An aqueous solution including a cyclodextrin or cyclodextrin derivative and a silicon-containing compound expressed by general formula (1) shown below (in the formula, R1 represents a hydrocarbon group having a carbon atomic number of 6 or greater; R2 and R3 represent the same or different lower hydrocarbon groups; R4 represents a divalent lower hydrocarbon group; R5, R6, and R7 represent the same or different lower alkyl groups or lower alkoxy groups; and X represents a halogen or organic carbonyloxy ion).
