PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method achieving crack tracking monitoring at low cost.SOLUTION: A device for monitoring the progress of a crack occurring in a structure is provided, which includes at least a disconnection gauge that is attached to the structure and detects the crack of the structure, a control circuit that generates progress information of the crack on the basis of the disconnection gauge, and a portable terminal that periodically transmits the progress information of the crack. The disconnection gauge includes at least a plurality of resistance wires and the resistance wires are disconnected successively in accordance with the progress of the crack, thereby the progress of the crack can be monitored. |
