[Also in Division H3] A transistor oscillator for a railway track circuit has one electrode biased by a resistance potentiometer (e.g. 7, 8), and another by a potentiometer comprising a Zener diode 10 so that if the supply voltage rises due to failure of a stabilizing circuit such as 3 the oscillator output does not rise. In the circuit shown, the bias becomes such that oscillation ceases. The Zener diode potentiometer could alternatively be connected to the base. |
