<p>The present invention provides a safety device for a scooter type mo¬ tor vehicle having an automated manual transmission (201) compris¬ ing clutch and shift actuators; a controller (202) for activating the said actuators; a tilt sensor for sensing the angle of lateral inclination of the vehicle while cornering, and feeding this sensed data to the con¬ troller; a seat sensor for sensing the presence or absence of the rid¬ er on the seat, when the vehicle is being started, and feeding this sensed data to the controller for deactivating the said actuators in the absence of the rider.</p> |
