Aquatic propulsion device with a submerged electric motor and watercraft equiped with such a propulsion device

The device has an immersed brushless electrical motor (11) e.g. synchronous motor, including an open drive chamber (13) that is intended to be filled with water. The motor includes a winding forming a stator (15), and a rotor (16) that is maintained and guided in the drive chamber by a rotation guide unit. An air gap is provided between the rotor and the stator communicating with and/or being part of the drive chamber and is intended to be filled with water. A propeller is related in rotational manner to a drive shaft. An independent claim is also included for an aquatic machine.
