<p>A leaded gasoline contains a small amount, e.g. 0.1-1.0 theory, of trimethyl phosphorothionate. "Lead fluids" added to the gasoline generally contain at least one of tetraethyl, tetramethyl, diethyldimethyl, or tetraisopropyl lead as anti-knock agent; at least one of ethylene dichloride, ethylene dibromide, tetrachloroethane, 1,2,2 - trichloropropane, 2,3,4-trichlorobutane, or 2-chloro-2,3-dibromobutane as scavenger; and, optionally, dyes and stabilizers. Other additives mentioned are 2,6-ditertiarybutyl - 4 - methylphenol; alkylated succinic acids; and amine salts of dioctyl phosphoric acid.</p> |
