The device (1) has several guide rollers (3-6) and a flexible jacket, band or wire (2) in the continuous form. A portion of the guide rollers are encircled to form a loop. A frame (7) is provided for supporting the portion of the guide rollers. The frame is provided with a sliding element (14) that forms a contact surface (15), when replacing the flexible jacket, band or wire. An independent claim is included for method of replacing flexible jacket, tape or wire of treatment device.
