<p>The invention relates to a method for compensating for variations in voltage when operating an electric household appliance (1) having a voltage source and having an electric consumer (3), wherein a current voltage value of the voltage source is determined during operation when the consumer is switched on (3), and the power that can be achieved by means of the consumer (3) at the current voltage value is calculated using a consumer resistance value (RL) determined at the factory.
