The fixator (1) has elements (5, 10) fastened at respective bone parts. The elements are movable relative to each other by a working device, which includes a solid body actuator (7) i.e. magnetic shape memory alloy. The actuator is arranged at a shear modulus part (11) of the working device and at one of the elements (5) at respective ends. The modulus part is connected with the other element (10) by a detention (8) e.g. locking gear, so that a relative movement of the latter element to the modulus part is blocked in a moving direction (12) and free in another moving direction (13).
