<p>The present invention relates to an electronic circuitry for connecting a household appliance to an electric power mains. The circuitry comprises a control unit (107), a capacitor (104,204) operationally connected between a phase conductor (101) and a neutral conductor (102), the phase conductor and the neutral conductor being adapted to be connected to respective phase and neutral connectors of the power mains, wherein an alternating voltage is applicable between the phase conductor and the neutral conductor, the circuitry being characterized in that it comprises a first switch (105) capable of connecting/disconnecting a first terminal of the capacitor (104,204) to/from either one of the phase conductor (101) and the neutral conductor (102), the first switch (105) being driven by the control unit (107), the first switch disconnecting the first terminal of the capacitor when the household appliance is not executing a treatment cycle, the first switch connecting the first terminal of the capacitor when the household appliance is executing a treatment cycle.</p> |
