PROCESS AND MODULAR INSTALLATION FOR URBAN WASTE NEUTRALIZATION AND EXPLOITATION

The invention relates to a process and an installation for treating certain urban wastes. According to the invention, the process consists in thermally treating urban wastes provided by about 3000 consumers, at a temperature of 950...100°C, descendantly, in a cylindrical area wherein there are uniformly distributed and mechanically driven in counter-current with ascendantly circulating burnt gases, wherefrom there is obtained a fuel with a low caloric power. As claimed by the invention, the installation comprises a bunker (1) for wastes, some coaxial cylinders (2 and 3), the cylinder (2) having an axle (7) whereto there are attached some blades (5 and 6), the axle (7) being driven by an electromotor (9) and supported by some bearings (8), a fireplace (10) where there is burnt a part of the fuel produced while generating burnt gases used as thermal medium circulating ascendantly within a space (4), mechanical interior arrangements for intensifying the thermal transfer, systems for cooling the gaseous fuel and the resulting ash, as well as a system for discharging the burnt gases into the atmosphere.
